I arrived in Joshua Tree National Park in the early morning as the moon faded. My first impression was amazement and awe at the thousands of rock formations and boulders strewn randomly across the landscape seemingly tossed by some angry god of the universe.

These giant boulders are surrounded by a mountainous backdrop, a bizarre assortment of cacti, and miles upon miles of the Joshua Tree standing tall on the arid desert floor creating a masterful desert terrain. This surreal environment is the place to experience solitude at its finest and a reason to slow down and reconnect with the beauty of nature.
